OBX, Take 3

Saturday. It dawned sunny and breezy. A beautiful OBX fall day. We headed toward Cape Hatteras to see some lighthouses. On the drive down we encountered lots of sand and water on the road. They have to move sand with large equipment, just as we remove snow.

There were a couple vans driving down. One continued on toward Hatteras (but didn't get there due to a possible/probably closed road and not wanting to miss the marathon the next day!) and we went back

 to another lighthouse which was undergoing renovation.

Then we went into town to explore the marathon finish line area and have lunch.

I think I've had enough posting for today. I'll continue with the pasta feed, marathon, and beyond, on my next post.
