T.G.I.F.

Just a quick little post. More either late this evening or tomorrow.

Off-Season Striders will run at Panera South at 7:30 AM tomorrow morning. Mileage unknown. I'm gunning for 12.01. Inside joke.

Looks like Wally Arnold gets the 8 dozen cookies for $50. Thanks, Wally.

Ski Trail Update from RASC: Bruce Walk and the groomers have already been busy working on the trails and both Quarry Hill and Essex Park have been groomed and are in good condition. Most sections can be skied with good skis, but I would not recommend your race skis on the bike path sections as you may break through and scratch the bases. No classic track yet (not enough snow), but the skate skiing is excellent. So get out and enjoy the cold weather !!

Joe Mayerle (left in the photo below, talking to Santa Torgerson) ...

... will be runing his first marathon March 29 at the Bataan Death March Marathon at White Sands, NM. Sounds like a newsletter story to me! That's a difficult marathon.

From Tom Williamson: There is a Feldenkrais workshop at Blue Moon Yoga Studio Sat. Feb 28 from 9 to 1. $45 in advance, $50 at the door. To register, contact Lisa Walker at 651-258-4762 or feldenkraismn@hotmail.com "This workshop will teach you to run with awareness of your whole body. Lecture will include how to access the core muscles for running and prevent injury to the smaller muscles and joints. You will take home running specific movement exercises that retrain your habits of running. Awareness and better mechanics are the keys to effortless running." Tom reports that Fedenkrais methods have helped him elminate many of the repetitive stress injuries he's had in the past.

I bought some funky reading glasses today (blue temples, rectangular lenses). They're wonderful! I can even see my embroidery stitches now. I'll post a photo, along with the hot pink supermodel wig that arrived today as well. I've not tried it on as I'm having a good hair day and didn't want to ruin it as I'm going out tonight. I've got some other photos to post as well.

Do you know anyone who is looking to get rid of some skate skis? I'm looking to pick up a pair. I've always wanted to do it. Let me know if you have connections. ;-)

I'll check with the RASC guys (Henry Walker and Michael O'Connor) and I'll also ask when the ski swap & sale is.
