Anna and Maddie (and Carson) got their oatmeal raisin cookies. They are SO sweet.
I had my Garmin set for 1/4 mile splits and haven't quite figured out all my times, but I did 4 x 800 (first 800 was 3:15, that much I do know) and 4 x 400 (which were 1:31 1:29 1:32 1:32). It was a killer workout in those weather conditions. My shoes and clothes were SOAKED. Again. And my sweaty legs and shoes, covered with cinders.
Yuck. What a mess. Then it was off to Randy's deck to wind down. And try to cool off. Lovely evening if you didn't have to move. :-)
Morning brought a 5:30 AM workout in Byron ... the Progessive Run. Goal pace: 10 9 8:30 8 7:30 7 6:30. My splits: 10 9 8:30 8 7:28 6:52 6:42 (after a 15 second rest). I just can't pull out that 6:30 mile. But I WILL keep trying. And ... one of these days it's not going to be 78 degrees and terribly humid at 5:30 AM!! I kept going until I had in about 10 1/2 miles.
Also running TC10 ... Suzanne LaPalm. The list is growing!!
I stumbled across this thread on Runnersworld. Me and my little blog are mentioned!!! Runnersworld Kinda cool I think ...
As far as I know, Jim Parry completed his endurance challenge yesterday at the Y. Here he is at 5:00 AM, just starting up the 'mill. Running along side him is Danny Stroh.
I checked in on him again about 5:00 PM. Tom O' was running alongside him at this point. He was at about 52 miles.
Well, I'm running out of time for this post but here are a couple of Vikings pix ...
