Rainy Days and Mondays ...

... always get me down? Not so much. It's a fresh start on a new week, and my garden and lawn need the rain. ;-)

RTC members spotted running this morning on my way to work: Peggy Menzel heading down Fox Valley Dr SW and Julie VanderSchaaf heading south on County 22. ;-) If you were out at 11 pm last night, you might have seen my son Eric running 6 miles. And if you were out late this afternoon you might have seen Eric running my 'bread and butter' 7.5 mile route ... in a Spring Classic bright yellow shirt. Wonder what he's training for ... I'll be the last to know, I'm sure! Possibly the Mayo Spartan 5K Run/Walk. He ran CC and track for Mayo.

If you were in Minneapolis on Saturday, you might have spotted Chris O'Brien and Chris Kujath (left and right) running the Downtown 5K. Or possibly Judy Weller (center) running the half marathon. Nice photo, gals!

If you were at Willow Creek school, Mayo High School, or the Bear Creek trail you might have spotted ...
Shane O'Leary ...
or Megan O'Leary participating in the HyVee Kids Triathlon. I've heard that it was an excellent, well-run event. Dad, Tom O'Leary is now decidedly behind in the triathlon participation count-- 1 / zip. Kudos to race director, and RTC member, and Rochesterfest Triathlon race director, Bill Nevala. He's one busy guy.

And if you were at the Y today, you might have seen RTC member, and Y volunteer, and artist extraordinaire ...
Julie Murray at the front desk. And if you stepped outside, you'd have seen ...
RTC members Jim Benike, Jim Postier (showing off his Otto's bakery shirt), Don Gabrielson and K.C. Reed. Also present, but declining the photo op were Dan Edwards and Priscilla Smith. Nice basket, K.C. It was cookie day.

Tune in to KROC AM (1340) Tuesday morning. RTC board member, All Comers' Director, Chester Woods co-director (and membership chair!) Larry Pederson will be on the radio taking track with Tracy McCray. Tune in!

The Chester Woods folk could use some help for the event on Saturday. They have 75 registered (including just 8 RTC members!) which is fantastic. If you can help out, please contact Jim Mason or Larry Pederson . Thank you!

RTC board member and Stewartville Summerfest race director Kevin Torgerson will be spending Fri-Sun on the roof of Rainbow Foods in Lakeville raising money for Special Olympics--a program called 'Cop on Top'. More info, including a pledge link, at Cop on Top .

Although the Twin Cities Marathon is full, TCM supports official marathon training classes and has made available marathon entries to enrollees in the RTC marathon training classes. Please contact Lin Gentling at Lin Gentling for more information.
I've got more photos from the weekend, and June birthdays to report, but that can wait 'til the morrow. It's time for me to hit the hay. I've got an early start tomorrow. Don't forget All Comers' Tuesdays at 6 pm at Soldier's Field. My little niece Kaleigh is scheduled to be there. I hope!
Cheers!
